The artwork is placed between two thick panels of crystal clear, solid acrylic and held securely by tiny magnet points. 

These paintings require the me to use quick brushstrokes to capture the feeling of the moment. I particularly like to paint the view of the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains in my backyard.

Of course I take inspiration from impressionist, Claude Monet - who doesn’t?

I love to represent the beauty and every changing colors of even the most plain outstretched field. 

My florals consist of familiar flowers usually in ginger jars, painted with blue chinoiserie figures.  I take ample liberties with color and try to create my best impressionist/fauve or fauve/impressionist style of work.
