Collection: Sally J. Goodrich
I use acrylic and gouache paint and gold leaf to create colorful, sometimes, serene, sometimes lively landscapes and florals.
Inspired by the beautiful blue ridge mountains of the Roanoke Valley and many summers spent in the Black Mountains of Asheville, NC, my landscapes are lush, vibrant and friendly.
Some of the gouaches inspire larger acrylic paintings. On canvas I love to reinterpret these little drawings into larger, more dramatic scenes.
The color is more vibrant, the details are more detailed and the strokes more loose. Other times my landscapes are inspired by photos taken near my home and travels around the area.
I love to represent the beauty and every changing color of even the most plain outstretched field.
