Fine Art Giclee Print on Paper
11" x 14"
This painting was born after the death of my father in October of 2020.
My father was largely absent, so the relationship we did share was challenging for most of my life. This painting was created after his death as a way for me to process my grief - the grief of his death and the grief of never really having a father to begin with.
In the week leading to his passing, I was anxious about what the grieving process would be, but in the process of creating this piece, I realized what a gift my grief was. Grief has a way of softening the sharp edges of painful memories.
